The sun gives us warmth, life, and a fabulous tan. The only problem with the fabulous tan part is that it can create other problems. Although we love the feel of the sun on our skin and it is important for vitamin D absorption, it can cause skin cancer so it’s important to incorporate these 3 tips for sun safety into our everyday lives.
1. Sunscreen
It is important to use sunscreen every day even in the winter if you are exposing yourself to the sun’s rays. If you plan to be in the sun for an extended period of time, then reapplication is a must. In fact, reapplying every 90 minutes is recommended for your skin’s health. Skin cancer does not happen right away; It takes years of sun damage before it is detected but the effects can be devastating.
